Paneer Masala - Love of vegetarians

Are you more like a vegetarian than a non vegetarian like me? If yes, then what's your favourite vegetable or ingredient? For me , it's either potatoes or Paneer.

And with paneer we have a range of dishes starting from starters to main dish to desserts. And a good thing about it is you just need to work on the prep or gravy and cooking will be done in minutes.

So here's another quick dish for the Paneer lovers out there.
Trust me, if you're looking for easy recipes, you're at the right place ;)

So this Paneer masala is my mom's quick recipe for an unplanned guest or a train journey meal to have along with chapati .  It's very easy to make as it doesn't need any gravy or masala to be prepared . Just some roughly chopped onions and capsicums and you're good to go.

Quick Recipe

  • Shallow fry some paneer and capsicum cubes , frying is optional though.
  • Heat oil in a kadhai and add onions cut in cubes and fry until translucent.
  • Add crushed ginger  and garlic(gives a distinct flavour). Avoid using store bought ginger garlic paste.
  • Add chopped tomatoes to it and fry until it gets a little dry.
  • Add salt, turmeric and chilly powder to it.
  • Add the fried capsicums and some cubes of tomatoes as well (optional).
  • Add a little garam masala . You can skip garam masala if you have Ching's chilly paneer masala .
  • Add the fried paneer at the end and let it cook for a minute.
Serve it with some hot chapatis or with Jeera rice.

Try it out and let us know how it turned out 😊

Happy Cooking!! 😊
